Welspun India announce partnership Disney for EMEA region

Textile maker Welspun India Ltd on Monday announced a brand licensing agreement with The Walt Disney Company for Europe, the Middle East, and the Africa region.

The license will give Welspun the rights to design, develop, manufacture, and distribute a complete range of home textiles products leveraging Disney’s vast franchises and characters across Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucas brands.

Welspun India Ltd is part of the US$2.3 billion Welspun Group. It manufactures home textiles such as towels and bedsheets among other products. With a distribution network in more than 50 countries and a strong team of over 26,000 Welspun is a strategic partner to global retailers such as Ikea, JC Penny, Macy’s, Marks & Spencer, among others.

Welspun’s success is driven by a robust team of over 20,000 people worldwide.

She further added that this collaboration with Disney will enable the company to further enhance consumer living spaces with experiences and market-leading solutions for all retail channels and consumers across the EMEA region.

Welspun has seen tremendous success in North American markets from its brand licensing business, said Keyur Parekh, Welspun India’s president and global head.

He also said that the association with Disney was another step to take the innovative offerings of the company to a wider consumer base in the EMEA region and to help consumers reimagine their living spaces.
