For upskilling of the artisans, enhancement of the market base for the handmade products, the government has increased the funding for upgradation and innovation. The goal is to build the progressive context of business and increase investment, productivity and employment opportunities. Employment shortage is another key area to which the budget has solutions such as working women programs to contribute to the labor force in the industry. Further, the open-end spinning mills will benefit through provisions made in this budget for the MSMEs, especially in terms of credit facilities. Collectively, the above measures are deemed to spur growth and development within both sectors
