RadiciGroup is taking part in Filtech 2024, the main global trade fair for the filtration industry being held in Cologne from 12 to 14 November (Hall 7 – Stand P9).
With over 80 years of experience in chemicals, engineering polymers and textile solutions, RadiciGroup is presenting its high technical and environmental performance products developed by its Nonwovens Business Line. Today, the Group’s nonwoven products comprise three main ranges of materials and brands: Dylar® spunbond nonwovens, Respunsible® spunbond nonwovens obtained from recycled polypropylene and Radimelt® meltblown and composite nonwovens. They are available in different configurations and in a vast range of colours to provide for any customer needs.
RadiciGroup materials are designed to meet the most demanding requirements in terms of technical performance and environmental sustainability. Indeed, RadiciGroup spunbond and meltblown are ideal for parts used in air filtration and vehicles, as a result of the optimal balance between filtration efficiency, ease of manageability and low resistance to airflow.
RadiciGroup is strongly oriented towards sustainability, a strategic goal that has also led to its low environmental impact product offering. Respunsible®, a spunbond range obtained from recycled materials, is SCS Global Services certified and each product is measured according to Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology by calculating the environmental impact throughout the entire product life cycle. Moreover, the Group’s attention to sustainability extends to circular and bio-circular materials, which are certified to ISCC Plus (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification).
“Filtech is an important occasion to exhibit our product offering to a specialized international public. By combining our technical competence and strong attention to sustainability, we are able to meet the needs of an increasingly demanding market. We can also produce tailor-made products, thanks to our in-house R&D department equipped with cutting-edge instrumentation,” stated Stefano Frione, head of business of the RadiciGroup Nonwovens Business Line.
With its debut at Filtech, RadiciGroup confirms its commitment to developing innovative and sustainable solutions and presents itself as a valuable partner in the filtration world that is capable of offering high quality products to improve filtration system performance and contribute to a more sustainable industrial supply chain.
The main filtration sector applications for RadiciGroup spunbond and meltblown nonwovens, including the SM, SMM, SMS, SMMS and SMSMS composite versions, are heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), vacuum cleaner bags and liquid filtration – market segments where high and long-lasting product technical performance is required.
Group companies are certified to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 for their quality, environmental, health and safety management systems. Sustainability is a keyword in everyday activities: RadiciGroup uses green energy and measures its production processes for resource consumption, emissions and waste. Together with other Group companies, the Nonwovens Business Line voluntarily adheres to the Operation Clean Sweep programme promoted by Plastics Europe (with the objective of achieving zero pellet loss to the environment) and is a member of EDANA (European Disposables and Nonwovens Association), which actively promotes the sustainability and circularity of nonwovens.
