The National Handloom Development Corporation (NHDC), under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, commenced the Special B2C Handloom Expo 2026 at Handloom Haat, Janpath in New Delhi on Saturday.

Weavers and artisan groups from 21 states are participating in the expo, offering a diverse range of authentic handwoven products through a business-to-consumer (B2C) platform that enables direct interaction between weavers and buyers.

Participants from 21 states, including Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal, are taking part in the expo.

Organised under the initiatives of Vocal for Local and Make in India, the expo aims to promote swadeshi handloom products by creating direct market linkages between weavers and consumers and strengthening livelihood opportunities for artisans across the country.

Visitors can purchase handloom sarees, dress materials, home furnishings, shawls, stoles and contemporary handloom apparel directly from weavers, facilitating expanded customer reach and improved price realisation.

Providing direct selling platforms to weavers remains an important part of strengthening the handloom value chain, as it enables them to expand their customer base while ensuring fair price realisation, an official associated with the expo said.

With an emphasis on sustainability, the expo also showcases eco-friendly handloom products that support traditional weaving communities and environmentally responsible consumption.

The expo will remain open to visitors from 9:00 AM onwards each day till March 2, 2026. Entry is free for all.
