At the trade fair Interdye which will be held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center from April 15 – 17, 2026. The CHT Group will be presenting various sustainable processes at its Booth B201 in Hall 1.

Focus on resource-saving technology

The responsible use of resources and the reduction of our CO₂ footprint are clearly key priorities in 2026 – for the CHT Group as an industry and as a company.

In addition to reducing environmental impacts such as our CO₂, energy, and water consumption, our responsibility at CHT to substitute hazardous chemicals is a key driver in developing sustainable chemical solutions. The CHT Group is working specifically on solutions that reduce the use of natural resources while simultaneously increasing efficiency in textile finishing.

CHT’s state-of-the-art, resource-saving dyeing processes enable significant savings in water, energy, and process time – thus making a measurable contribution to more sustainable textile production.

CHT’s highlights at Interdye 2026

From the dyeing sector, concepts for synthetic fibers such as PES Cooldye, PA Short Cut, as well as concepts for CEL fibers, will be presented. This also includes “The WOW Concept” for sustainable and resource-efficient CEL dyeing.

Based on the BEZAKTIV ONE dye range, “The WOW Concept” meets the highest ecological standards and offers excellent fastness properties, ensuring maximum productivity even with shortened process times. Thanks to the high degree of fixation and outstanding wash fastness, rinsing and soaping processes are particularly efficient, enabling significant savings in water and energy consumption. Using the CHT Textile Dyes App – which is also part of “The WOW Concept” – soaping processes can be further optimized with the BEZAKTIV Soaping Advisor digital tool. This significantly reduces resource consumption and increases process efficiency, as can be determined using the BEZAKTIV ONE Calculator – also part of the tool. Birgit Holz, Global Director Market Segment Apparel & Home Textile at CHT particularly points out the continuous dyeing process PIGMENTURA by CHT for CO and CO/PES: “This process significantly increases resource efficiency, reducing water consumption by more than 90 %, as well as energy consumption and thus CO₂ emissions. Overall, the process is considerably shorter than classic pad-steam or pad-batch dyeing processes.

We are very proud that our innovative dyeing process PIGMENTURA by CHT was awarded the German Sustainability Award in the Products category in December 2025 – the most prestigious sustainability award in Europe.”

A key highlight of the SHORT CUT – PA dyeing concept is the bio-based post-treatment agent PAFIX BOND – an answer to the increasing demand for environmentally friendly, bisphenol-free solutions for fixing polyamide dyes.

Birgit Holz emphasizes the challenge that PA dyers are increasingly faced with: “First of all, PA dyers must meet the stringent requirements of MRSL lists. However, they must equally reach the high level of alkaline perspiration and wash fastness for saturated colors. Our PAFIX BOND enables sustainable PA dyeing while meeting the high-performance requirements of the brand and retail industry. In addition, SARABID types such as IPD, IPM, and IPF can be used in the dyeing process to achieve excellent levelness.”

Textile standards met by PAFIX BOND

PAFIX BOND meets a wide range of relevant textile standards – including bluesign , ZDHC, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, as well as bisphenol-free, phenol-free, and formaldehyde-free formulations. Despite its bio-based formulation, the system offers the same quality and performance as conventional chemical finishes – especially for medium to dark shades.

In combination with selected BEMACID dyes, which have been awarded a Gold-level Cradle to Cradle Material Health Certificate, users receive a complete, sustainable system for the circular economy.

Specific savings with PAFIX BOND

Of course, we always evaluate our products, and especially our new developments, with regard to their CO2 footprint. Compared to conventional products, we expect a reduction in the CO2 footprint of approximately 20 %. Considering the CO2 absorption of the bio-based raw materials during growth, we even expect the CO2 footprint of PAFIX BOND to be negative. In addition, CHT’s more sustainable polyamide dyeing technology achieves significant resource savings:

  • Up to 25 % less water consumption
  • Up to 20 % energy savings
  • Up to 17 % shorter process times

CHT thus supports producers in achieving their environmental goals without compromising on color fastness or product quality.
