SmartIndigo is helping denim brands stand out in a market that is increasingly going green. Jeans and denim products are a huge market and all stakeholders involved can profit from this groundbreaking innovation: Denim Brands, Textile factories and consumers.

  • Denim brands want to sell clean and sustainable products. SmartIndigo helps to make a big step forward.
  • Textile factories can use the new process in their production not only to save money, but also the have a cleaner
  • Consumers are getting more and more aware about the ecologic footprint of the products and get a more sustainable product.

“We’ve combined economy and ecology in one groundbreaking innovation,” says Werner Volkaert, managing director of Sedo Engineering. “Denim brands and textile factories can move towards this sustainable production structure easily and with more benefits at a lower cost. It is a win-win solution for our clients, their employees, and consumers.” Using electricity instead of toxic chemicals to dissolve indigo dyes can not only make a big environmental and economic leap, but also reduce water consumption by 70%, for example by eliminating the need to dilute wastewater. To date, more than 20 SmartIndigo machines are already installed at leading denim producers, helping them to achieve a cleaner production. Some of them have already ordered the second or third machines, seeing the success of their new installation.

Also, they are happy with the intensity shading and their economical payback. SmartIndigo technology is BlueSign approved system partner and ZDHC level 3 certified.

Together with Sedo Treepoint, we will be exhibit at ITMA hall 11, stand 305, presenting also our fully integrated automation concept.

ITMA offers a great opportunity for all interested people from across the textiles and denim business around the world to meet SmartIndigo experts.

We are happy to welcome business partners personally in Milan at the world biggest and most important textile machinery exhibition.
