SAITEX, a leader in sustainable denim production, has unveiled its 2023 Impact Report, highlighting key advancements in circular manufacturing, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility within the fashion industry. The report underscores SAITEX’s commitment to innovation and transparency as it continues to set benchmarks for sustainable practices in denim manufacturing.

Key Highlights from the 2023 Impact Report:

  1. Circular Manufacturing Leadership: SAITEX has become a pioneer in circular denim production by collaborating with major global brands to establish responsible and scalable manufacturing practices. This report provides a comprehensive look at the company’s regenerative strategies, showcasing how waste can be transformed into valuable products.
  2. Smart Factory Technologies: The company integrates cutting-edge technologies, including AI, machine learning, IoT, RFID, and robotics, to streamline production processes. These technologies not only improve Speed-to-Market (STM) but also enhance sustainability through better transparency and traceability. The smart factory approach has been crucial in optimizing operations and reducing resource consumption.
  3. Sustainability Milestones:
    • Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold Denim: By 2023, SAITEX’s Vietnam-based mill reached a significant milestone with 25% of its fabric production achieving Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold status. This achievement is a testament to the company’s commitment to reducing CO2 emissions, energy use, and water consumption.
    • Smart-Indigo™ Technology: Since 2021, SAITEX has been the only mill in Vietnam using Smart-Indigo™ technology, which has resulted in a 90% reduction in CO2 emissions, 70% less energy use, and a 30% decrease in water consumption.
  4. Social Responsibility:
    • Inclusive Workforce: The REKUT program, launched in 2019, has integrated 98% of employees from marginalized backgrounds into garment production. This initiative reflects SAITEX’s core values of inclusivity and equity, championed by CEO Sanjeev Bahl.
  5. Global Impact: SAITEX’s partnerships with global brands like G-Star, Everlane, J.Crew, Madewell, Zara, A.P.C., IKEA, and Polo Ralph Lauren underscore the company’s ability to produce high-quality denim and apparel while adhering to the highest sustainability standards.
  6. Certifications and Partnerships: The company collaborates with certifying bodies such as bluesign, GOTS, GRS, regenagri, OEKO-TEX, and C2CPII, ensuring compliance with international sustainability standards and continuously pushing the boundaries of responsible production.
