MDR rollers
- MDR (Magnetically Driven Roller) technology is a new approach to handling webs at lower tension levels and higher operating speeds.
- This patent-pending roller system applies a magnetic link between web transport rollers and drive system, substantially reducing or eliminating the negative impacts on a web resulting from roller inertia, bearing friction, speed change, and entrained (boundary layer) air. The result is a system that operates at significantly higher speed and lower web tension.
- MDR technology can be applied to web transport systems as well as Martin’s line of high-performance unwind systems.
Airnertia
- Martin’s Airnertia technology features web transport rollers designed with a reduced moment of inertia, enabling smoother and more efficient web handling.
