Crystal International Group Limited places a strong emphasis on employees’ physical health and wellbeing as a cornerstone of the ongoing success. Guided by the people-centric sustainability approach, employee wellness is a key pillar under Crystal Sustainability Vision 2030. In line with this wider agenda, the Group has rolled out a Vision Screening Programme across Vietnam, Bangladesh, and Cambodia to promote employee wellness within global supply chain. The initiative aims to deliver accessible eye care services while fostering a safer, more inclusive work environment.

With a global workforce of over 80,000 employees, Crystal International first initiated the Vision Screening programme at a factory in Vietnam in 2024, by offering free-of-charge vision screenings to workers and staff. Building on the success and momentum, the Group established partnerships with additional non-profit organisations in 2025 and expanded the programme to 10 factories across Vietnam, Bangladesh and Cambodia. To date, more than 38,000 workers have benefitted from on-site eye checks conducted by professionals, while nearly 12,800 individuals who were diagnosed with refractive errors have received quality eyeglasses at no cost that freed them from the blurry vision. The scalable effort underscores the Group’s devotion to embed health support into daily operations.

For many employees, these spectacles represent their first pair of eyeglasses. They were also guided in selecting a suitable spectacle frame and educated on proper use and care, particularly within the factory environments. The initiative has led to meaningful and enduring difference for the employees who had long experienced compromised vision. Workers now enjoy visual comfort, improve their quality of life, and potentially increase their productivity. The programme also supports the Group’s broader ambition to foster workplaces where people can thrive with care and opportunities.

“Good vision is fundamental to quality of life and workplace safety. The rollout of this programme brings tangible benefits to our workers and our business alike. It reinforces our commitment to employee wellbeing and preventive care,” said Catherine Chiu, Vice President – Corporate Quality & Sustainability at Crystal International. Beyond visual health, the Group remains keen to promote holistic wellbeing by encouraging active lifestyles and ensuring mental wellness in the workplace.

Through practical and high-impact initiatives at global factories, the Group continues to strengthen employee care as part of the long-term sustainability ambitions. Crystal International will further invest in people by developing targeted physical and mental health programmes to create meaningful, scalable impact for all employees.
