The Incredible Textiles of India Pavilion was Inaugurated by H.E. Santosh Jha, High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, in the presence of all the Indian councils TEXPROCIL, MATEXIL, PDEXCIL & FIEO with other Indian textile companies highlighting a very strong presence of India’s participation in the show.

Intex-InMac created a vibrant marketplace by bringing international suppliers from India, China, Sri Lanka, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia, Netherlands, Australia, Japan, Germany, Korea, USA, Thailand and other key markets connecting them with garment manufacturers, exporters, sourcing professionals, technical and engineering teams, buyers and industry stakeholders from Sri Lanka and beyond.

Another key initiative was the India – Sri Lanka Textile Trade Forum 2026 jointly organised with the High Commission of India to Sri Lanka, which brought together Indian and Sri Lankan manufacturers, suppliers, industry representatives and trade stakeholders for focused business discussions. The forum created opportunities to explore bilateral sourcing, strengthen supplier–buyer relationships, identify new areas of cooperation and build stronger connections between the textile and apparel ecosystems of India and Sri Lanka.

Knowledge and industry dialogue remained an important part of Intex-InMac Sri Lanka 2026 through the Interactive Business Forum (IBF). Across its seminar sessions, industry experts, manufacturers, sustainability leaders, technology professionals and business representatives explored some of the most pressing issues shaping the future of the textile and apparel industry, including green regulations and circularity, digital transformation, AI, automation, supply chain innovation and smart manufacturing. The sessions provided a platform for practical discussions and knowledge exchange beyond the exhibition floor.

The strong response from trade visitors throughout the three days reflected the growing demand for international sourcing & technological solutions and the industry’s continued focus on innovation, diversification and competitiveness. Intex-InMac Sri Lanka 2026 once again demonstrated the importance of bringing the global textile & technology community closer to Sri Lanka through sourcing, business connections, knowledge exchange and international collaboration.
