Mimaki UV-LED platform chosen by avery dennison for traffic jet xpress printing system

Mimaki USA, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and cutters, today announced that Avery Dennison (Mentor, OH) has adopted a Mimaki UV-LED printing platform for a new Avery Dennison traffic sign printing package called the TrafficJet Xpress print system.

The Avery Dennison TrafficJet print system is a complete package to produce prints on reflective sheeting for traffic signs, vehicle markings, and traffic devices. Avery Dennison manufactures reflective sheeting and digital inks and provides customers with printer installation and service. It features a long-term digital sign warranty of up to 15 years for outdoor exposure. Since the company began offering its first system in 2013, it has been supporting the digitalization of the traffic sign manufacturing processes worldwide. In 2020, the company also began offering the TrafficJet Pro that includes a high-speed printer for high-volume production, uses UV-curable ink to enable post-processing immediately after printing, and offers a more environmentally friendly UV printing solution.

The new Avery Dennison TrafficJet Xpress system is based on the 64-inch Mimaki UCJV300-160 UV-LED roll-based inkjet printer that will be used in this entry-level configuration along with inks and media from Avery Dennison, offering the advantage of UV printing to sign shops at all production levels. It will be available through authorized Avery Dennison representatives.
