On April 19, 2024, around 8:36 am, A fire broke out at the factory premises of the Lenzing AG in Austria plant, as confirmed by a spokesperson from Lenzing. As per many videos rotating on social network sites thick clouds of smoke could be seen from miles.
So far, one person injured in the fire has been reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
